The coastal road to Santa Maria de Leuca is beautiful and offers great views of the Adriatic Sea. In the haze you can even see the Albanian mountains. At the narrowest point it is only about 70km.

In Gallipoli we go to a campsite and cycle into town. The old town lies on a rocky island and is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
We drive back and forth through the narrow streets and are surprised when we still see a car in it.
