Old Stones – Paestum

Two enormous Doric temples and a smaller one stand on a huge terrain right next to the road.

A huge wall of 4.75km surrounds the terrain.

There is not much more left over of the Greek town from the 5th century BC, a few cobbled roads and foundation walls.

The small theater is from Roman times.

The arch above the Roman gate is constructed of many small stones, a very unusual way.

Many interesting excavation finds are displayed in the museum.
