The coastal road meanders along the steep coast. That in itself is very nice, only the road is suddenly closed and a black and white ribbon flutters across the road, we didn’t believe the signs before, in Italy you’re never so sure what’s right. We’ll have to take quite a detour.

There is a place to stay at Paestum on the beach. We visited at the ancient sites a few years ago. We content ourselves with a look through the fence.
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Paestum is one of the most important archaeological sites in history, because temples from Roman and Greek times, an amphitheater and an almost 5 km long city wall from different historical construction phases were discovered here.

Interesting glimpses of Paestum!
A gem to discover for sure.
