through southern France

Far away from the tourist routes, we drive north on small roads. We are in the department of Aveyron and are driving through the river valley of the same name. It’s getting tighter and tighter. Sometimes a road tunnel has to come to help to drive through the valley.

Anyone who has ever driven through the French hinterland knows how difficult it is to find a restaurant at lunchtime. We’re lucky, it looks good and tastes… let’s say passable.

In Figeac you feel transported to the Middle Ages. Time has come to a standstill at that time.
