Sines and the Alentejo coast

Sines is known for its oil refineries and port facilities. Should you visit the city? We think yes, because the old town is very charming and also you can eat quite well.

The city’s most famous son is the navigator Vasco da Gama (15th century).

On the way to the beaches north of Sines we see a field full of storks.

Via tiny streets we reach the beach, nevertheless everything is a bit more touristy than before, Lisbon is not far. But the beach is gorgeous.
