Route Richard Lionheart

The rain is with us to St-Denis. After our visit to D., we think it will be better, but soon the rain is catching up with us again.

The more than 200 km long French tourism route Richard the Lionheart touches many medieval sites, including castles, churches and castles. Looking for a place to stay we find ourselves on this road again, directly below the Chateau Chalucet.

During his lifetime, Richard II was glorified, his participation in the 3rd Crusade, his capture in Austria and imprisonment in Germany gave his life the necessary drama. The early death was the final tragedy.
