Odyssey through Laconia

The road winds along the coast to the south. It screws itself higher and higher, always with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. But then it turns into the country, the TomTomTussi suddenly wants to turn around, and I do not know exactly where we are. On the map I see only Cyrillic … We keep going and follow the road through endless olive forests – occasionally interrupted by a herd of goats. Finally we are again at the sea in Gythio. Our patience is rewarded with a gigantic spaghetti serving.

  1. Easy to see why these people were the giants of their times. Your photos make it appear truly idyllic.
