Gargano

The spur of the Italian peninsula is an up to 1000m high rock with small towns high above the sea and dazzling white limestone cliffs with beaches in between.

At the top of the Gargano lies Vieste. This was our port of entry in Italy in 2005, when we crossed the Adriatic from Croatia with our sail boat. http://geriatrix.de/segeln%202005/08%20vieste%20italienengl.

Today we top up our veggies at a small market.

  1. I read this when I first got the post but just looked at your photos on my bigger computer screen. I’m hungry just looking at the photos! Both at the market and thinking about how much hunger I’d have climbing those beach cliffs!
