The Dream Coast of Portugal

Miles of sandy beach, one beautiful place after another, you can hardly decide.

Unfortunately, we also drive long distances through burnt down forest. When we visited TuT a few weeks ago, we saw the fires of Portugal in the news.

When we discovered the Marina Bica in the lagoon of Aveiro nine years ago, it had just been built. In 2013, the place was a bit run down and the restaurant closed. It did not look better two years ago, but we were able to buy delicious fresh mussels from the fishermen. This time there is a beautiful bike path along the lagoon shore and the restaurant has fortunately a new operator and the food is outstanding.
