In the afternoon we visit Muchelney Abbey, an interesting building from the Middle Ages. The visitors can still see the abbey’s basic foundations, parts of the ornate monastery, as well as the house of the Abb0t from the 16th century. The Abbot’s house has been preserved with its splendid rooms, while the rest of the complex was destroyed by Henry VIII.
I am fascinated by the different constructions of the ceilings.
The nearby church is also unusual, especially the painted ceiling and the organ.
Nice! You have a wonderful eye for the details.
Thank you! Honestly it wasn’t easy to write after quite a while!
Yes – an amazing eye. We can go to the same place and she will see much more than I. I’m in awe of artists.
