Bike Trip through Polder Land

We plan big roundtrip, first along the Lauwersmeer and than behind the dike and sometimes even on the dike.

The wind is much stronger up here and we as we all know: it always comes from the front!

But here we can see how new polders are created and more land is won from the sea.

But always biking behind the dike is boring, that’s why we bike back further inland through the villages. But no café, nothing to have some lunch. But we find an open supermarket. A picnic area with playground – the grown-up kids have fun!

In one of the villages is an oldtimer museum. Museum – no thanks! The oldtimers pass us on the way – as well as birds and other animals.
