The fruits are ripe and we have no chance to pick them before falling on the ground. Therefore the professionals are asked and in no time the trees are empty! The windfall is left for us and many jars of mango chutneys have to be cooked.
Now I use the time for an extensive walk through Frigiliana, the “white village” we can view so wonderfully from the Finca. The inhabitants are legally obligated to whitewash their houses regularly.
The village is one of the oldest of the Andalusian coast. Many cultures have left their marks, therefore it is also called the village of the three cultures (muslim, jewish, christian).
The originally moorish structure of the old center is still preserved. The alleys are very narrow. Although it is not allowed to drive through there are cars blocking the main road just wide enough for one car.
