Through the Westerschelde Tunnel we drive to the next peninsula of the Netherlande.
The small city of Veere is a gem. Once again we have to find shelter of the rain again. The huge construction of the incomplete church of the 12 century is just about right. Several Mobiles are displayed inside.
As usual on this coast rainy weather doesn’t last to long and soon we can continue our sightseeing trip to the city.
The village Yerseke is the home of the mussel and oyster industry on the Osterschelde. Of course we have to go there. Even it is the end of the season we still can buy some oysters.
Tonight our campsite is very special. We sit on the dam of the Westerschelde and are able to watch the steady traffic of ships to and from Antwerp.
