To Zeebrügge

It is called the nicest village of Flandern: Lissewege. Besides a weighty enormous church there are nice white houses – most of them restaurants. Nice – but the nicest – I don’t know.

In Zeebrügge we find an empty parking close to the beach. A wide nice promenade also leads along the shore which unfortunately ends very soon. So we have to ride to Blankenberge on the side of the main road. Here again is a beautiful corniche between beach and houses decorated with many art objects.

But to go further we have to go on the lively main road again. In the next village Wenduine the promenade is first being built. I am sure it also will be beautiful but right now it is a huge construction side. It is not too much fun and also rather late. We turn round and bike back to Zeebrügge.

We now leave  Belgium. It is only a few Kilometers to the Netherlands.
