Gallipoli

„Kali Polis“ is Greek and means „beautiful city“ and it is true! The old city is situated on an island surrounded by a heavy wall which today is topped by a ring road – ideal for us because we are on our bikes ( thank you Domy! ).

On the quais the fishermen repair their nets and their fish traps.

The small fish market has a lot to offer.

In the middle of the old town the baroque cathedral is queezed in.

Above the glock on the bell tower is a strange instrument dial – a calendar? a solar clock? Does anyone know what it is? (Rod, I am counting on you…!)

The small old pharmacy  I really like!
