Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday the wind is back – quite strong. We drive around Brindisi. Nine years ago we had to stay in the harbor for a whole week due to too much wind! But I remember the most beautiful sunrise by sailing out…

We drive through Olive country. It is like driving through a huge olive plantation with large aged trees.

We trundle along the coastal road.

We find a nice “Sosta Camper” next to the lighthouse of S. Andrea. Fresh water, camper service, a few houses, three restaurants… we should have been suspicious by that…After a nice walk along the coast we decide we choose a pizzeria for the night. At night the hell is loose in this tiny village! Cars everywhere. Hundreds of young people all nicely dressed up in black. No way to come to the pizzeria – which has turned into a disco! Obviously this is here the custom for Easter! Luckily our campsite is well protected against noise – we hear nothing and have a good nights sleep!
