Sept. 21st: Würzjoch and Bruneck

Sometimes we should listen to the instrucions of our TomTom Lady. She didn’t want to take the road across this pass. After the first kilometers we know why. The road gets smaller and smaller and steeper and steeper. Of course there are cars coming towards us – fortunately no busses. Sometimes only a newspaper fits between our WoMo and the road barrier.

But the view we have is magnificent.

Nice old farmhouses and cows on the meadows we see from a very different angle – from above! The “Würzjoch” has an altitide of 2004m.

On the other side the road winds down to the Gadertal and to Bruneck in the Pustertal but the road is a bit wider and therefore more comfortable to drive.

One enters the old town  of Bruneck through the Ursulinen gate and leads via the Langgasse to the Oberragen gate. There are nice houses with paintings.

And a few outside restaurants to sit down after the stroll and for us after biking. The pizza is enormous….
