It is cold in Lissabon, I have to take out sweaters and socks again.
The huge triumfical arch to the city is all covered for renovation.
In front of the famous elevator in the middle of the city people are queueing – no, thank you!
Not very much noticed is the street plaster of the city. Black and white mosaic covers the ground everywhere.
The oldest part of the city is Alfama. Up and down, up and down – the tiny alleys are all decorated for an upcoming festivity.
Two huge churches sit in the old city:
the cathedral Sé
and the Pantaleo Nacionale
The old quarter Chiado is also quite nice. Up and down again but a beautiful view!
