October 19th/20th

On of the reasons we wanted to go to this part of France have been the oysters. In the market hall of La Rochelle we had the first taste of it.

Now we head for the Ile d’Oleron, one of the centers of the French oyster production. Oyster shops, oyster parks, oyster restaurants – oysters everywhere. Even roads get plastered with oyster shells and walls are built with it.

The price of the delicacy – you can only dream of back home!

We enjoy our oysters! And don’t care about the rain!
