Six Europeans visit the Kyffhäuser Monument

The Kyffhäuser is a low mountain range in the middle of Germany.  On top sits the Kyffhäuser Monument or Kaiser-Wilhelm-Mounment. From far away the huge monument (81m) is visible. But why does it have this strange grey color today? When we are up there we can see why: the monument is in scaffolding! WE wanted to show our Frenchies and Brits this national abomination and now it is covered! But we can go inside and learn about the history. (Look also in the blog further down).

Barbarossa still sits in front of his cave and view is always worth a visit.

The well in the yard has a depth of 126m!!!
