Golfo dell’Asinara

We have to cancel our plan to visit the cities Porto Torres and Sassari, no way to find a parking! Totally different it looks by the “old stones” of Monte d’Accudi. The prehistoric altar in the shape of a pyramide is unique in the whole area of the Mediterranaen It dates from the 3. Millenium B.C.

Much older is the petrified forest of Martis. The trunks have been uprooted by vulcanic eruptions millions of years ago and went to the bottom of a lake and petrified. But it needs a lot of fantasy to identify those tube as wood from a forest.

Once again a campground at the beach by ourselves with a wonderful sunset!
