Ajaccio – Filitosa

The rain stopped – we head for the mountains! They are still covered with a lot of snow we don’t want to go that high! From a parking we have a magnificent view – we will stay for the night. And the stary sky is fantastic!

We notice the altitude – it is quite chilly! And what’s the strange smell here? In the forest are lots of pigs!

The small hike to the “Cascades du Voile de la Mariée” is worth the effort.

It is not easy to find a parking in Ajaccio. It is the birthplace of Napoleon – you can’t miss it, Napoleon is everywhere.

A few kilometers outside we have more luck: the place right at the beach is blocked for campers only from June 15th.

The prehistoric side of Filitosa shows  important artefacts of early corsian history. About 70 extraordinary menhirs have been discovered here.

Every few days we need a campground. The very few which have already openend have just come out of hibernation and the people we see there as well!
